Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024
This coming year is gonna be wild...
Well here we are, ready to kick 2023 to the curb and to strap ourselves in for 2024…
So let’s recap some highlightsfrom this past year…
-We wrote a book! I mean this was definitely the single biggest thing for us in 2023. What a great way to reach even more folks than through a book written specifically for you guys, the real Professional Citizens and Modern Minutemen out there! This was one of the hardest and most rewarding things I have accomplished and I hope to do even more of it! A big thank you to Jack Morris at The Professional Citizen Project for believing in me to do it!
-The Minuteman newsletter was born to help provide insight into things I am working on, trying out, or feel are important enough to share with all of you. Things like the Gordon Carbine build, the Alpha Tent, load carriage options, patrolling, and more. It hopefully helps to inspire and encourage folks to get out in the field and test their gear and themselves.
-Subscriber contests on the YouTube channel! The 24 Hour Patrol Kit Contest was a massive success! It really showed that you guys love being able to get out in the field in your kit and put it to work! I think it even inspired a few of you to start making videos detailing your kit. Great job to y'all for doing it!
-The YouTube channel got an incredible sponsor (and partner) in AT Armor! Mike and the guys there are a blast to work with and have been extremely helpful with anything we need or questions we may have!
Now, what is in store for 2024? Your guess is as good as mine. Will we actually have an election? Will we see WWIII or even Civil War 2.0 before the year is out? Who knows, but what I do know is we are continuing to push forward here.
The first big thing in 2024 is getting together with The Prepared Wanderer out at my Bushcamp where we will introduce him to some property patrolling and we’ll have some campfire fun! He is very well known in bushcraft circles here in Ohio and I look forward to teaming up with him for more content!
The theme this year for the channel will be bringing my book to life through videos. Each month we’ll be focusing on a topic in the book to further explore in a real life manner. Providing context to the topics discussed!
Lastly, just as when we started out, this is all a continuous journey exploring concepts and skills and applying lessons learned out in the field! We will always be learning. So, as with any journey, there may be a surprise or two throughout the year and I’m ready to tackle whatever comes my way. I hope you’re ready too!
