HUMANITARIAN DAILY RATIONS
Perfect for backing up your food stores and for in the field...
The Humanitarian Daily Rations are an inexpensive option to MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat) to supplement food options for prepping, to keep in emergency get home/bug out bags, for scouting, or for keeping in your ruck for patrolling and field exercises.
Each HDR contains 2 meatless entrees plus:
breakfast bar (pop tart)
crackers (peanut butter and jelly included)
Shortbread cookie
sealed spoon with salt/pepper/red pepper flakes/napkin/matches
Fig Newton Bar
The orange sealed bag can be used for water collection, garbage, signalling, and a whole lot more.
As of this article the Humanitarian Daily Rations are on sale for $32/case (reg $40/case). On sale that works out to $2.66 per daily ration and there are 12 to a case.
In the field I supplement these with flavored tuna or chicken packets and it creates a pretty decent meal. Check out the link below if you are interested.

I bought a few cases when last year. They do seem to be pretty good and the price you can’t beat. I also like to add meat to make it feel complete
