Training with The Modern Minuteman
It's not you, it's me......
Over the last few months I have received numerous messages/comments through social media from folks asking to come “train” with me. Guys, I’m not the one to reach out to for this. I am happy to recommend the right people to you based on what you're looking to learn and/or gain.
I have been pursuing the Minuteman Philosophy for almost 10 years now and it isn’t always an easy road to travel. I have been blessed with old friends and new friends that I have met along the way to help in my pursuits. But it is also something that I have been very picky and careful about. Throughout these years I have cast a fairly wide net and been able to take advantage of opportunities presented to me to get together with like minded folks as well as have reached out to folks to come to me for FTX’s. But I am very careful and picky about who I invite. There is definitely criteria I look for and I do my best to vette people. Every person I have gotten together with there has been a genuine connection of some sort. Some have even become good friends. The internet is a wild and crazy place and anyone can pretend to be anyone. So folks that I get together with are all part of that network that I have worked hard to foster and help create. Real people come into the fold by real connections, not just a guy on the web. There is a certain “leap of faith” that has to happen at some point but, at this stage, I am beyond that point.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I want you all to succeed in your training and encourage you to seek it out. I want you to find that group of like-minded guys to get together with in your area and develop working relationships with them. My goal with my videos, books, this blog/newsletter, and other media is to help encourage you all by sharing my story with you. Believe me when I say that if I can do it, you all definitely can do it. Also understand that what I do share is just a small percentage of the work that is being put in, and it certainly isn’t easy, but it is worth it.
I guess what I am trying to say is that if you reach out to me via social media looking to “train” together chances are I am not going to respond to it.

Excellent post. Humbling for some, but this is more of a reason to go and train. And training isn't always shooting. Know your gear!
If our Government/Millitary and its own citizens vetted anything properly, we’d all be living in an entire different country right now. Point taken and completely understood. We all want to see the ‘good guys’ win, when many are resorting to evil. Press on boys
